Migros new chef at the HSG From the inauguration of the new restaurant at the beginning of Fall Semester 2010, the HSG in cooperation with the Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland will offer a new gastronomy concept. 18 November 2009. It is not only the HSG Campus that is being refurbished and renovated: the menus of the HSG Restaurant will also have a different look in the future. The HSG’s Director of Administration, Markus Brönnimann, and Roland Wehrli, the Head of New Business Gastronomy of the Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland, signed a cooperation agreement on 17 November 2009. Until the end of August 2010, the present operator will be responsible for the catering in the HSG Restaurant. Starting shot in December 2007The starting shot for the initial selection round for a new HSG caterering service was fired in December 2007. Seven of ten companies that were invited applied with concept proposals. To assess the dossiers, the Student Union in its capacity as a member of the selection committee drew up a catalogue of criteria for the food to be provided in the HSG Restaurant. Besides price effectiveness, organization and quality management, social and ecological aspects were also taken into consideration. Tasty test meals spoke for MigrosA separate catalogue was drawn up for the Executive Campus HSG (WBZ), where cooperation with the present catering firm, Peter Schildknecht Gastronomie, will be continued. It was not only tasty test meals and excellent references that spoke for Migros in the final selection round. Its presence in Eastern Switzerland and its short supply routes also played a part.
