Our research question: How do entrepreneurs and executives drive the value creation of their organizations to make a difference? Our proposition: By developing the strategizing practices and processes to move the organization forward successfully. We are the partners to have in this endeavor based on our extensive scientific and practical expertise in innovation, strategy, and entrepreneurship. We focus specifically on what impactful entrepreneurs and executives actually do. Often, we work on extreme cases: organizations, programs, and initiatives that are creating the future “at the edge” of the unknown. Entrepreneurial innovation and connected strategizing are embedded in organizational contexts and a lived management praxis. It is fundamental to observe and understand how entrepreneurs and executives enact their organization and advance their management praxis. This shapes how their organizations are moved forward, which opportunities are realized and how these make a difference in their competitive environment. We contribute to this debate from a strong foundation of international discourses on management innovation, which we see as a key strategic competence of any organization.
